Veteran Career Fair Wednesday at Camp Pendleton

The Hiring Heroes Career Fair will be held at the South Mesa Club from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Military personnel severely wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan will have the opportunity to meet with civilian employers at a career fair Wednesday at Camp Pendleton, base officials said.

The Department of Defense will host the Hiring Heroes Career Fair aboard Camp Pendleton at the South Mesa Club from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Hiring Heroes Program is the Department of Defense's (DoD) Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service (DCPAS), Recruitment Assistance Division's (RAD) outreach program for providing assistance to wounded, ill and injured service members whose careers were cut short due to injuries received in Iraq and Afghanistan and to transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses.

The career fair will provide an opportunity to network, collect information and talk one-on-one with approximately 78 DoD, other federal agency and private sector recruiters and employers about civilian career opportunities.
