Mayor's Pay from SANDAG Comparable to Pay from City

Mayor Jim Janney and other public officials receive thousands of dollars a year for serving on the planning agency's board.

Imperial Beach Mayor Jim Janney was in Washington, D.C., Monday.

He's not there for the State of the Union, but rather to speak to members of Congress on behalf of the San Diego Association of Governments, the regional planning agency.

As vice chair of SANDAG, Mayor Jim Janney receives a little less in payment a year than he receives for being mayor of Imperial Beach.
