2014-2015 South County Economic Development Council Board Announced

The non-profit organization responsible for economic development in San Diego’s South Bay has elected its new board for the 2014-2015 fiscal year. South County EDC members voted in the newest 39 member board, including eight officers, at its annual meeting early July. Xema Jacobson will serve as Board Chair.

South County EDC promotes education and encourages economic development bi-nationally in the South San Diego and Baja regions. Board members will be tasked with helping to see the successful planning, promotion and implementation of South County EDC events and initiatives, including the annual South County Economic Development Council Summit happening Friday, October 10. “San Diego’s binational region is on the brink of several really exciting developments that will bolster our growth and bring increased economic stimulus to both South County and Baja,” said Jacobson. “I look forward to the opportunities to advance the San Diego South Bay while serving as South County EDC Chair this coming year.”
