A collision between a Saturn station wagon and Cecilia's Safety Service truck Monday evening caused the Saturn to flip, according to officials.
Witnesses say Alisha Russell of Imperial Beach was going 40-50 mph westbound on Palm Avenue at about 8:45 p.m. when she ran a red light, said Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Jackson.
"The Saturn was approaching the intersection and ran a red light. The truck accelerated going southbound and broadsided the Saturn, forcing it to roll over onto its roof."
Russell was assisted from the car by a bystander, suffered minor cuts from broken windshield glass and was transported to UCSD Hospital for precautionary reasons.
Raymond Romero of Imperial Beach, who was driving the truck full of cones and safety signs, was transported to Scripps Chula Vista with possible neck and back injuries.
Neither driver was intoxicated, Jackson said.
