Sheriff's deputies arrested three people during a DUI checkpoint Friday night.
Deputies at the checkpoint, which was held from 8:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. at Palm Avenue and 9th Street, contacted 997 vehicles. Field sobriety tests were given to 13 drivers, and three were arrested, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies also issued 26 citations.
A grant from the Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration funded deputy overtime associated with this DUI Check Point.
