A teenage boy from Tijuana died drinking liquid methamphetamine at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to autopsy results released Wednesday by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
Cruz Marcelino Velazquez Acevedo, 16, was walking from Mexico to the United States last November and ingested the mixture to prove it was not apple juice, the report found.
The report does not indicate whether inspectors asked Acevedo to drink the liquid.

Acevedo died a little over an hour after drinking meth at 8:57 p.m. Nov. 18 at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center.
