Suspects Arrested in Fatal Knife Attack on Palm Ave.

Charles Laux was stabbed to death early on Jan. 28 in front of a gas station. Three men were arrested Thursday by San Diego police.

Three suspects were arrested Thursday afternoon for the on Palm Avenue in January, according to San Diego police.

Armando Garcia Jr., 22, Robert Rosales Jr., 30, and Juan Serrano, 29, were arrested by detectives in three separate locations, two in Chula Vista and one in San Diego.

Their arrests came after a month-long investigation identified the three as suspects, and the district attorney’s Gang Prosecution Unit will handle the case, according to San Diego police.

Laux was killed in the early morning hours of Jan. 28 in front of a gas station in the 2200 block of Palm Avenue. Police officers responding to a report of a fight at 12:50 a.m. found Laux on a sidewalk outside the gas station. Paramedics attempted to save Laux, but he died at the scene at 1:15 a.m.

Police said he may have been in a fight with the occupants of a tan, four-door sedan that may have been a Nissan Altima, last seen headed west on Palm Avenue.
