Looking for a new job or career?
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is holding a recruitment event at this weekend's Chargers' game.
The department is currently looking for more than 400 deputies, 9-1-1 dispatchers and professional staff. According to the sheriff's department, from now through 2016, they are looking to fill 2,000 sworn and professional positions. Some of the newly hired employees will fill staffing needs at the new Las Colinas Detention Facility in Santee, increased patrol staffing in unincorporated areas and provide additional staff in several detention facilities as a result of the recent California Prison Realignment.
If you want to make a difference and help keep your community safe, the sheriff's department suggests you "put a star in your future and join us."
Interested in joining the force? You can visit the sheriff department's recruitment booth at Qualcomm Stadium during the Public Safety Appreciation game on Sept. 16 from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
