Did You See Beating Outside VFW? Attackers Sought in April 21 Incident

Two men are sought in a beating outside VFW Post 5477 that left a man with a broken nose, cheek bone and jaw.

Crime Stoppers and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department Imperial Beach substation are asking for the public's help to find two men suspected of battery in the 100 block of Palm Avenue last month.

Around 11 p.m. April 21 the victim approached a man outside VFW Post 5477 to buy a cigarette.

As he smoked outside with the man, a man emerged from a purple, 2-door sedan of unknown make and mode and began to hit the victim in the face.

The man got back into the car and the victim started to walk away when another man got out of the car and the beating continued.

The victim "suffered multiple facial fractures and breaks to include the orbital bone, cheek bones, jaw and  nose. He will need surgery to fix these injuries and continues to be hospitalized," a statement from Crime Stoppers and the sheriff's department released Thursday said.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 to anyone with information that leads to an arrest. Call 888-580-8477 to make an anonymous tip. Emails and text messages can be sent at sdcrimestoppers.com
