Woman Sexually Assaulted, Threatened with Knife
The attack occurred at about 1:15 a.m. No arrests have been made.
A woman walking on 5th Street around 1:15 a.m. Sunday was sexually assaulted by a man with a knife, said the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The victim said she was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette when the attack occurred, said Sgt. Fran Passalacqua.
The man then took out a knife and forced the woman into a driveway where she was sexually assaulted.

"She was able to escape and ran towards a couple who was walking in the area for help," said Lt. James Bolwerk in a stetement released Sunday afternoon. The woman then used the couples phone to call 911.
Deputies attempted to find the man with the help of a helicopter and dogs but were unsuccessful. Detectives from the sheriff's Sex Assault Unit also responded.

The woman described the man as a 6'1" black male in his thirties that weights about 170 pounds and has short hair. He was wearing a white shirt and dark shorts at the time of the incident.
