Power was quiclkly restored for vital services, said City of Imperial Beach Public Works director Hank Levien

"All of our city services are on, the pump stations are running, the street lights are on," he said.

Any power outage immediately triggers an emergency generator at City Hall which may have switched on briefly.

"From everything my guys say, it was very short," Levien said.
