Immigrants Found in San Ysidro Storm Drain

Customs and Border Protection officials take up to 15 people into custody; two had minor injuries.

Border officers took several people who may have illegally entered the U.S. into custody early Thursday after they were spotted climbing out of a storm drain in San Ysidro, NBCSanDiego.com reported.

The group, estimated to be up to 15 people, according to CBS8.com, were seen at the storm drain at about 2 a.m. near Border Village Road and Virginia Avenue, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said.

Two were treated for minor injuries, authorities said.
