Losses in Home Burglaries Total Nearly $50,000

In five cases of residential burglary in the past two weeks, more than $45,000 in property was reported stolen.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from Aug. 21-27. If you see a crime, please report it to the .

Aug. 26

1:20 a.m., 29-year-old woman arrested for being drunk in public on Palm Avenue

9:57 p.m., petty theft reported on Elm Avenue. Bicycle reported stolen worth an estimated $200

3:55 a.m., residential burglary reported on Donax Avenue. Sports utility vehicle, television and bicycle stolen worth an estimated $23,500

4:00 p.m., 31-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public on Seacoast Drive

 

Aug. 24

2:03 a.m., 46-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended or revoked license due to prior DUI conviction and operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol level while on probation for DUI on Palm Avenue

7:23 a.m., residential burglary reported on 12th Street. BMX bicycles, paintball gun and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $2,000 

9:56 p.m., vehicle theft reported on Florence Street. Stolen pickup truck worth an estimated $1,000

Aug. 23

5:49 a.m., 24-year-old woman arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances at the corner of Evergreen Avenue and 2nd Street

3:28 p.m., petty theft and vandalism reported at Tony's Hotel Liquidators on 13th Street, with an estimated $10,000 in damages to a truck and $275 in automotive parts reported stolen

 

Aug. 22

9:50 a.m., vehicle burglary reported on Imperial Beach Boulevard. Bag, keys and camera reported stolen worth an estimated $355

9:58 a.m., vehicle theft reported on Connecticut Street. Stolen sedan worth an estimated $500

 

Aug. 21

9:01 a.m., 25-year-old man arrested for the use, possession and being under the influence of controlled substances and paraphernalia on Palm Avenue 

10:00 a.m., 52-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances on Palm Avenue

2:09 p.m., grand theft from vehicle reported by Cal American Water on Palm Avenue. Tools reported stolen worth an estimated $2,000

8:34 p.m., residential burglary reported on Alabama Street. Computer, camera and other electronics reported stolen worth an estimated $510 

 

Aug. 19

4:56 p.m., 23-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public on the beach near Seacoast Drive

 

Aug. 18

1:33 a.m., 19-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances on 13th Street

5:51 a.m., vehicle theft reported on Donax Avenue. Stolen vehicle worth an estimated $2,500

6:23 a.m., 22-year-old man arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle on East San Ysidro Blvd. Actual offense or first contact took place in the 1100 block of Donax Avenue. Recovered light truck worth an estimated $3,000 

12:51 p.m., 39-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public on Seacoast Drive

Aug. 16

3:37 p.m., residential burglary reported on 7th Street. Television, purse and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $20,000

12:06 a.m., 26-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the corner of Palm Avenue and Georgia Street
