Sheriff deputies found a woman in the bathroom of an apartment on Grove Avenue Monday morning with two stab or slash wounds to the abdomen.
The victim, Porsche Camacho, continuously stated she was fine and that she did not need assistance, said Sergeant Mike Rand. Camacho also declined to state how or why she was stabbed.
Deputies interviewed the woman's friend who said he picked her up at the corner of 12th Street and Donax Avenue. He claims he was unaware Camacho was stabbed until they got to the apartment.
The stabbing is believed to have occurred at about 10:58 a.m. Camacho was transported to University of California San Diego Trauma Center and was released Tuesday around 2 a.m.
