IB Man Faces Multiple Sex with Minor Charges
Jeffrey Apple has been charged with seven felony crimes, including two charges of unlawful sex with a minor under 16.
Jeffrey Corey Apple, 47, of Imperial Beach was arrested last week by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department on seven charges related to sex with a minor.
The alleged abuse took place between January 2011 and April 2012, said Tanya Sierra of the San Diego County District Attorney's Office.
He is being held on $275,000 bail.

Apple was arrested April 19, arraigned Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
If Apple is convicted and receives the maximum sentence on all charges, the District Attorney's Office said, he faces six years and two months in prison.

A preliminary exam readiness conference is scheduled May 2.
