IB Fire Rescue Two Off Pier

A female was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation, according to police.

Imperial Beach deputies and the Imperial Beach Fire Department responded to a radio call to investigate a report of three subjects in the water yelling for help at the Imperial Beach Pier on Tuesday night at 11:15 p.m.

Deputies were directed to the middle of the pier where they saw two people in the water alongside the pier. The third subject was able to reach the beach safely. The Imperial Beach Fire Department tossed two circular life preservers into the ocean for the two subjects to grab.

Once the subjects were able to grab the life preservers they were slowly pulled to the beach.

One of the subjects in the water was a male juvenile and the other subject a female adult. The female adult was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation.
