Gang Member Accused of Murder Has Hearing Postponed

Angel Nunez was arrested in Imperial Beach Oct. 1 for a murder that took place in Chula Vista.

A preliminary hearing was postponed Tuesday to March 26 for a gang member accused of fatally stabbing a man in Chula Vista last year.

When a preliminary hearing is held, a judge will decide whether there's enough evidence to order Angel Michael Nunez to stand trial.

Nunez, 21, is charged with murder in the September death of 22-year-old Chula Vista resident Juan Navarro, who was stabbed multiple times near the 1600 block of Hilltop Drive.
