Girl Reported Missing After Halloween Returns Home

A 14-year-old girl who was thought missing on Halloween returned home late Tuesday evening unharmed.

Kimberly Arteaga, 14, was reported missing to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department Tuesday. Her mother, Mariel Arteaga, noticed her daughter was missing late in the evening on Halloween. 

By Tuesday afternoon, Mariel Arteaga began to post fliers on Seacoast Drive and in other parts of IB. 

A few hours later, around 11 p.m. Tuesday evening, Kimberly returned home.

“She went to a Halloween party with friends and didn’t tell me anything,” Mariel Arteaga said.
