Fire Erupts at Imperial Beach Home

The extent of damage has not been fully assessed for a fire that started at an Imperial Beach home Thursday evening.

San Diego County Sheriff's Department Bomb and Arson unit crews were investigating the cause of a non-injury house fire in Imperial Beach Thursday evening on the 700 block of 4th Street around 9:30 p.m.

The Imperial Beach and Coronado fire departments and San Diego Fire Rescue worked together to extinguish the fire by 10 p.m., a San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesperson said.

No one was injured during the incident and the fire did not spread to
any neighboring houses. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
