12:07 p.m., 41-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 500 block of 11th Street

1:16 a.m., 19-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 100 block of Palm Avenue

1:56 a.m., 32-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 500 block of Spruce Street

2:16 a.m., 22-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 1100 block of Granger Avenue

2:01 p.m., 19-year-old man arrested with warrant for violation of federal probation on Ebony Avenue

12:14 a.m., 22-year-old man arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia in the 800 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard

11:15 a.m., 25-year-old man arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Palm Avenue. 22-year-old man cited and released for possession of burglary tools

8:30 a.m., 43-year-old man arrested for a parole violation on Elder Avenue

9:22 a.m., commercial burglary reported in the 1500 block of Seacoast Drive. Tools and electronics reported stolen worth an estimated $1,100

4:13 p.m., 27-year-old man arrested for possession of a controlled substance near the corner of Louden Lane and Grove Avenue

7:35 p.m., 39-year-old man arrested for vehicle theft and possession of a controlled substance in the 900 block of 11th Street. Van reported stolen and recovered worth an estimated $3,000

Jan. 2

1:05 a.m., 27-year-old man arrested for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, removing identification marks on a firearm, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, failure to register as a controlled substance offender, carrying a loaded firearm, committing a narcotics related with prior convictions and committing a felony armed with a firearm near the corner of Palm Avenue and 5th Street. 23-year-old man armed with lethal cutting instrument also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, the manufacturing, sale or possession of brass knuckles and possession of unlawful paraphernalia

8:05 a.m., petty theft from building reported in the 1300 block of Seacoast Drive. Keys, watch, computer equipment and credit cards reported stolen worth an estimated $401

9:07 a.m., commercial burglary reported by Jim Blazen Plumbing in the 800 block of 3rd Street. Metal reported stolen worth an estimated $650

1:40 p.m, 55-year-old man arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for the use and being under the influence of a controlled substance near the corner of Palm Avenue and Delaware Street

12:53 a.m., battery on person reported in the 800 block of Palm Avenue. Victim suffered apparent minor injury 

8:30 p.m., 37-year-old man arrested for arrested to revoke, modify, or terminate postrelease community supervision in the 700 block of 13th Street

Dec. 31

7:37 a.m., commercial burglary reported by Coastal Association Services in the 200 block of Ebony Avenue with $200 in damage to two locks

7:45 a.m., 48-year-old man cited and released for hit and run with property damage and for making an unsafe turn without a turn signal near the corner of Seacoast Drive and Date Avenue. State of California named as primary victim

5:34 p.m., battery on person reported in the 800 block of Elm Avenue. Victim suffered apparent minor injury

3:04 a.m., 24-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 700 block of Elm Avenue

Dec. 12

9:56 a.m., arson reported at Mar Vista High School at 500 Elm Avenue. Approximately $400 in damages to a structure reported
