The Imperial Beach Fire Department made quick work of a fire in a dumpster in an alley behind the 700 block of Florence Street Sunday.
The fire was reported at 11:20 a.m., said Captain John French of the Imperial Beach Fire Department.
Firefighters were unable to determine the cause of the fire.
"You just never know. It could be many different things people throw in dumpsters," he said. "People can throw coal in there, cigarettes in there, and all kind of other stuff. There wasn't even that much garbage in the dumpster."
