Drug Arrests, Identity Theft in Sheriff's Blotter

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from April 30 to May 6. If you see a crime, please report it to the Sheriff's Department.

May 6

5:05 p.m., 22-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances and possession of unlawful paraphernalia near the corner of Seacoast Drive and Evergreen Avenue


May 5

11:50 p.m., 36-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 900 block of Palm Avenue


May 4

10:44 a.m., stolen Hertz rental car recovered on Calla Avenue. Recovered vehicle worth an estimated $18,000


May 3

9:45 a.m., 37-year-old man arrested for failure to appear in court and another unknown charge in the 100 block of Palm Avenue

10:15 a.m., 23-year-old woman arrested for the manufacture, sale or possession of a leaded cane, billy club, Blackjack or brass knuckles on Elm Avenue

1:55 p.m., 65-year-old man arrested for operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol level while on probation for DUI in the 1200 block of Florida Street

3:06 p.m., identity theft case reported in the 100 block of Daisy Avenue. $900 reported stolen

4:22 p.m., theft by use of access card information reported in the 1500 block of Seacoast Drive

4:26 p.m., 48-year-old woman arrested for possession of controlled substances for sale and unlawful paraphernalia in the 400 block of 8th Street. 52-year-old woman also arrested with warrant for possession and being under the influence of controlled substances. 50-year-old woman also arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances


May 2

9:20 a.m., 25-year-old man arrested for threatening crime with intent to terrorize, vandalism and violation of domestic relations court order in the 1200 block of Palm Avenue. Roughly $600 in vandalism reported

2:00 p.m., 26-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substances and with warrant for possession and being under the influence of controlled substances in the 1000 block of 11th Street. 41-year-old man also arrested for possession of controlled substances

4:17 p.m., 62-year-old man arrested with misdemeanor bench warrant in the 1200 block of Palm Avenue


May 1

9:00 a.m., shoplifting reported at CVS in the 800 block of Palm Avenue. Clothing and household goods reported stolen worth an estimated $41

8:55 p.m., 45-year-old woman arrested for possession of controlled substances and unlawful display of registration near the corner of Georgia Street and Fern Avenue


April 30

7:46 a.m., vehicle vandalism reported in the 700 block of Calla Avenue

1:11 p.m., identity theft case reported in the in the 1300 block of Holly Avenue

7:04 p.m., vehicle theft reported in the 700 block of 9th Street. Stolen vehicle worth an estimated $1,000

9:51 p.m., 39-year-old man arrested with misdemeanor arrest warrant in the 1000 block of 7th Street

8:38 a.m., commercial burglary reported at Central Elementary School in the 1200 block of Ebony Avenue. Computers, radio, speaker, megaphone and speaker reported stolen worth an estimated $1,280

1:20 a.m., 23- and 34-year-old men arrested for being drunk in public near the corner of Date Avenue and 2nd Street


April 27

1:31 p.m., 38-year-old woman arrested for petty theft and possession of controlled substances and unlawful paraphernalia in the 1400 block of Holly Avenue. Portable music player recovered worth an estimated $400

9:54 p.m., assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, reported near the corner of Elm Avenue and 4th Street


April 26

9:51 p.m., simple battery reported in the 1000 block of Ocean Lane


April 19

10:30 p.m., 25-year-old man arrested for obstruction or resisting a peace officer or emergency medical technician in the 600 block of Emory Street
