I am amazed that drunk driving is still an issue! Haven't we all heard and seen or even experienced the loss of loved ones from drunk drivers? Dang! If you're going to drink DON'T DRIVE!

Great advice Deena. Agreed.

The funny part is some moron will still think it's his 'right' to drink and drive anyway and be upset for these 'sting' operations. For someone like me who has never drank I think all of these people should be put in jail and fined. They are playing with our lives when they get behind the wheel. I've known several people who have been killed because these people think they can just make it home before something happens. If you drink, don't drive. Take a cab, stay at the party overnight, get a friend to drive you home. The loss and pain you will inflict is much to great for you to think it won't happen.

It amazes me too. I believe most people who drink and drive have that ( it will never happen to me attitude ).

Speaking of drunk drivers: what are Ramona's noise ordinances? My neighbor is, yet again, blasting away their music and drinking the night away with a bunch of people in their backyard per usual. It's been going on for a few hours already, and the music will only get louder. What can I do about this nuisance neighbor? Their moving in has upset the nice neighborhood this used to be.

Write the property owner a certified letter explaining the problem and his/her cost if they do not solve the problem. If your neighbor owns the property, it is time to get cozy with the sheriff. I had this problem with renters who moved in. They thought they wanted to be a aspiring rock band. I suggested they invest in a generator and pratice in the middle of a feild someplace. I also NICELY explained the steps of evicition and told them that I would win since I already recorded their noise and made reasonable efforts to resolve the problem. Sometimes a littel direct communication is needed. They at first did not belive me, so I borrowed a large loud speaker and shared my capabilities early one morning. They now understand. They can pratice during the work week, during daylight hours. Not after dark or weekends, otherwise I will drown them out. Good luck.

What many people do not take into account when thinking about "drunk driving" is "impaired driving." The visual of the staggering drunk passed out behind the wheel is only part of the problem. A larger component are those who have two or three and say they feel fine but in fact their reactions are impaired and they are just as dangerous as the falling down drunk.

Nope that's exactly the ones I'm thinking of...if you drink...it doesn't matter how much...don't drive. Too many innocent lives have been lost.

If I have even one drink I don't drive, the lasting cost is more than a cab.
