Burglary at Yum Yum Tree, Cruelty to Animals in Sheriff's Blotter

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from Sept. 24-30. If you see a crime, please report it to the Sheriff's Department.

Sept. 30

4:50 a.m., grand theft from vehicle reported in the 500 block of Donax Avenue. Automotive parts reportedly stolen worth an estimated $1,200

9:11 a.m., commercial burglary reported in the 1000 block of 8th Street. $10 in cash and/or coins reported stolen

11:44 a.m., vehicle theft reported in the 100 block of Elder Avenue. Sedan reported stolen worth an estimated $1,000

5:29 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 700 block of Florida Street. Ring and necklace reported stolen worth an estimated $300. Video games stolen worth an estimated $310

Sept. 29

2:58 a.m., vehicle theft reported in the 1000 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard. Sedan reported stolen worth an estimated $10,000

7:50 a.m., vandalism reported at Coin Laundry in the 700 block of 13th Street. Damage caused worth an estimated $900

4:40 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 300 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard. Duffle bag and athletic equipment reported stolen worth an estimated $770

Sept. 28

2:56 a.m., 45-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substance at the Palm Avenue and 2nd Street intersection

5:50 a.m., 61-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 900 block of Seacoast Drive 

4:16 p.m., annoying, obscene or threatening phone call reported in the 500 block of Dahlia Avenue

10:11 p.m., simple battery reported in the 900 block of Seacoast Drive. Victim reported apparent minor injury

Sept. 27

2:06 a.m., 26-year-old woman arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol level while on probation for DUI in the 700 block of 2nd Street

2:32 a.m., 40-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs near the Evergreen Avenue and Seacoast Drive intersection

6:30 a.m., 20-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 500 block of 7th Street

8:17 a.m., commercial burglary reported at Imperial Beach Senior Center in the 1000 block of 8th Street. Miscellaneous cash, paper or ID reported stolen worth an estimated $1

10 a.m., 44-year-old man arrested for possession of narcotics and other controlled substances in the 1200 block of Ebony Avenue. 56-year-old man also arrested for possession of controlled substance. 51-year-old man arrested for possession of controlled substance and parole violation

6:03 p.m., 27-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 1000 block of Calla Avenue

Sept. 26

7:09 a.m., commercial burglary reported at Imperial Villa Apartments in the 1400 block of Grove Avenue. Tools and household goods reported stolen worth an estimated $1,470

8:30 a.m., 21-year-old man arrested for residential burglary near the Elkwood Avenue and Ocean Lane intersection

6:15 p.m., 22-year-old man arrested for cruelty to animals and carrying a switchblade or knife on his person in the 700 block of Seacoast Drive

Sept. 25

9:04 a.m., vehicle theft reported in the 600 block of Corvina Street. Sedan reported stolen worth an estimated $500

11:23 a.m., battery on person reported in the 1200 block of Palm Avenue 

1:39 p.m., grand theft from building reported in the 200 block of Donax Avenue. Computer and bicycle reported stolen worth an estimate $3,700

2:24 p.m., vehicle theft from Lobel Financial reported in the 1300 block of 13th Street. Sports utility vehicle reported stolen worth an estimated $10,000

Sept. 24

3:17 p.m., vehicle burglary and vandalism reported in the 1400 block of 13th Street. Bag, cell phone and portable music device reported stolen worth an estimated $700

7:17 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 400 block of Florida Street

4:19 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 500 block of 12th Street. Necklace and coins reported stolen worth an estimated $340

Sept. 22

11:50 a.m., battery on person reported in the 1000 block of 13th Street. Victim reported apparent minor injuries

Sept. 20

4:32 p.m., 26-year-old man arrested for possession of more than 28.5 grams of marijuana on Ebony Avenue

Sept. 18

8:01 p.m., commercial burglary reported at Yum Yum Tree Apartments in the 500 block of Emory Street. $100 cash, $780 in tools and $750 in other miscellaneous items reported stolen

Sept. 15

12:45 a.m., 20-year-old woman and 25-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs on Elder Avenue

Sept. 14

2:31 a.m., 33-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol while on probation for DUI in the 100 block of Elkwood Avenue

Sept. 1

1:30 a.m., 36-year-old woman arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 900 block of Palm Avenue

Aug. 23

12:35 a.m., 38-year-old woman arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 400 block of Daisy Avenue

2:50 a.m., 46-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence and hit and run with property damage on Triton Avenue in San Diego. Actual offense took place in the 400 block of Daisy Avenue at 12:32 a.m.
