Burglars Vandalize More Than Steal from Silver Strand Plaza Businesses

The burglary took place early Wednesday morning. Windows broken during the burglary may cost more than items that were actually stolen, business owners said.

An unidentified man smashed the glass doors of two businesses in the Silver Strand Plaza Shopping Center in the 600 block of Palm Avenue early Wednesday morning, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department reported.

Working with a woman, the two burglarized Pro Haircuts and Aunt Ellen's Water around 5:30 a.m.

Security camera footage shows the pair made away with a cash register with no cash in it from Aunt Ellen's Water and after trying to steal a cash register from Pro Haircuts, made away with a box of no monetary value, business owners said.
