Big Rig Hit 15-Year-Old Teen Near Brown Field
The victim's name was not immediately available.
A big rig struck and killed a 15-year-old girl at an Otay Mesa intersection on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident at La Media Road and state Route 905 was reported shortly after 5 p.m., according to San Diego police.
The girl was walking with her older brother and she stepped off the curb to cross as a semi truck was completing a right turn with a green light. She was struck by the truck's rear and died at the scene.

Her brother was struck as he tried to pull her back. He was not injured.
