Autopsy Finds Man Died of Hypothermia, Death Ruled an Accident

A San Diego County Medical Examiner reported that a man found on rocks near Seacoast Drive died of hypothermia. Alcohol was also found in his system.

Oswaldo Valle Lopez, 25,  died from hypothermia in what was ruled an accident by the San Diego County Medical Examiner. Alcohol was found in his system and may have been a contributing factor.

His body was found April 10 "wedged between boulders on the shoreline of Imperial Beach" at the south end of Seacoast Drive, the medical examiner's report said.

According to the report, Lopez lived in Lancaster, CA but was believed to be a Mexican citizen.
