$40K+ in Jewelry Stolen from Home

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Imperial Beach substation reported the following arrests and crimes from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4. If you see a crime, please report it to the Sheriff's Department.

Nov. 4

8:10 a.m., 24-year-old man arrested with warrant for sex with a minor, manufacturing a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a marijuana plant and possession of concentrated cannabis in the 700 block of 5th Street

8:43 a.m., vehicle burglary reported in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. Wallet, bag, clothing and other items reported stolen worth an estimated $603

2:10 p.m., grand theft from building reported in the 1200 block of 14th Street. Furniture worth an estimated $3,000 reported stolen while other items worth an estimated $2,224 also reported stolen 

3:16 p.m., petty theft reported on Imperial Beach Boulevard. Cell phone stolen worth an estimated $550

Nov. 3

1:15 a.m., 23-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 900 block of Palm Avenue

1:35 a.m., 28-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 500 block of 7th Street

2:32 a.m., simple battery reported in the 1400 block of 13th Street

Nov. 2

9:35 a.m., 50-year-old man cited and released for unlawful display of registration in the 700 block of 13th Street

2:10 p.m., 22-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and presenting false identification to a peace officer near the Florence Street and Donax Avenue intersection

4:30 p.m., 53-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and parole violation near the Palm Avenue and 7th Street intersection

6:50 p.m., 34-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 1100 block of 13th Street

8:58 p.m., 30-year-old man arrested for commercial burglary and obstruction or resisting a peace officer on Date Avenue. Actual offense took place in the 800 block of Palm Avenue

11:55 p.m., 29-year-old man arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and driving while license is suspended or revoked on Hemlock Avenue. Actual offense took place in the 1300 block of Holly Avenue

Nov. 1

2:59 p.m., residential burglary and theft by use of credit card information reported in the 200 block of Daisy Avenue. Credit card and $2,000 in cash reported stolen

Oct. 31

3:40 a.m., 55-year-old man arrested for possession of a controlled substance near the Seacoast Drive and Palm Avenue intersection

5:29 a.m., residential burglary reported in the 800 block of Iris Avenue. Rings and other jewelry reported stolen worth an estimated $43,870. Binoculars, coins and knife also reported stolen worth an estimated $5,030

5:45 a.m., 30-year-old man arrested for threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize in the 500 block of 8th Street

8:08 a.m., vehicle burglary reported in the 1000 block of Florida Street. Duffle bag, portable music player and camera reported stolen worth an estimated $920

8:30 a.m., 30-year-old man arrested for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia in the 1200 block of Holly Avenue

3:20 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 600 block of 7th Street. Three bicycles reported stolen worth an estimated $4,950. Other items reported stolen worth an estimated $3,000

10:30 p.m., 19-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the 1200 block of 13th Street

Oct. 30

2:34 p.m., grand theft from motor vehicle and theft by use of credit card information reported in the 1200 block of Elm Avenue. Wallet, credit and ATM cards, books, backpack and other items reported stolen worth an $680. Miscellaneous cash, papers and other items also reported stolen worth an estimated $2,510

3:26 p.m,., vandalism reported at residence in the 1100 block of Granger Street. Damage to structure worth an estimated $50

4:20 p.m., impersonation of another person to get money (identity theft case) reported in the 200 block of Ebony Avenue

6:11 p.m., 30-year-old man arrested with misdemeanor warrant in the 1400 block of Grove Avenue

8:30 p.m., 34-year-old man arrested for the use and being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 1200 block of Palm Avenue
