4 Injured in DUI Hit and Run in Sheriff's Blotter

March 4

3:45 a.m., 21-year-old man arrested for false imprisonment in the 1000 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard

1:58 p.m., grand theft reported in the 1100 block of 13th Street. Pistol reported stolen worth an estimated $500

9:56 p.m., 31- and 28-year-old men arrested for being drunk in public in the 900 block of Seacoast Drive


March 3

7:31 a.m., vehicle vandalism reported in the 1100 block of Florence Street. 6 victims reported damage to 7 cars

10:19 a.m., commercial burglary reported in the 900 block of Palm Avenue at Nail Tech and Family Barber Shop. Television reported stolen worth an estimated $1,000

10:16 p.m., 39-year-old man arrested with misdemeanor warrant near the corner of Ebony Avenue and Seacoast Drive


March 2

1:18 a.m., assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, reported in the 1100 block of Florida Street

7:25 a.m., 24-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 200 block of Ebony Avenue

11:23 p.m., 18-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 900 block of 13th Street


March 1

7:37 a.m., 49-year-old man cited and released for driving without a driver's license in the 700 block of Cypress Avenue

7:37 a.m., 52-year-old man arrested for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, the use and being under the influence of controlled substances and possession of unlawful paraphernalia in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue

6:40 p.m., commercial burglary reported at La Posta Market in the 1200 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard. Miscellaneous items reported stolen and recovered worth about $15

11:54 p.m., 18-year-old man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, and probation violation in the 1200 block of Essex Street


Feb. 28

2:07 a.m., simple battery with apparent minor injury reported on Palm Avenue

6:24 a.m., 48-year-old man arrested for vehicle theft in the 700 block of Calla Avenue. Stolen and recovered vehicle worth an estimated $3,000

8:22 a.m., 39-year-old woman arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, in the 900 block of 12th Street

11:54 a.m., petty theft from vehicle reported in the 700 block of 13th Street. Cell phone reported stolen worth an estimated $500

4:34 p.m., 42-year-old man arrested for burglary in the 300 block of Imperial Beach Boulevard. 2 vehicles, tools and bag reported stolen worth an estimated $5,480. Bags reported stolen and found worth an estimated $200

10:25 p.m., 53-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public on Palm Avenue

10:26 p.m., 43-year-old woman arrested for being drunk in public in the 100 block of Palm Avenue



Feb. 27

9:27 a.m., 29-year-old woman arrested receiving known stolen property and the use being under the influence of controlled substances in the 500 block of Spruce Street. 34-year-old man also arrested for the use and being under the influence of controlled substances. Checks, keys, wallet, ID cards and other items recovered worth an estimated $25

11:16 a.m., petty theft reported in the 900 block of 12th Street. Cell phone reported stolen worth an estimated $200

1:56 p.m., assault with a deadly weapon, not firearm, reported in the 900 block of 12th Street.

2:41 p.m., 59-year-old man arrested for being drunk in public in the 100 block of Calla Avenue

7:05 p.m., 41-year-old woman arrested for driving under the influence and causing bodily injury, operating a motor vehicle with 0.01 percent or more blood alcohol level while on probation for DUI, failure to provide ID, vehicle information or claim financial responsibility after an accident and hit and run resulting in death or injury near the corner of 3rd Street and Palm Avenue. 4 people injured as a result

10:15 p.m., residential burglary reported in the 700 block of 11th Street. Wallet and currency reported stolen worth an estimated $675


Feb. 26

3:20 a.m., 22-year-old female arrested for being drunk in public on Dahlia Avenue

11:12 a.m., vehicle theft reported in the 1400 block of Grove Avenue. Stolen vehicle worth an estimated $3,000

2:23 p.m., vehicle vandalism reported in the 500 block of Dahlia Avenue

3:51 p.m., vehicle theft reported in the 200 block of Date Avenue. Stolen motorcycle worth an estimated $7,500
