25 Arrested During South Bay Warrant Sweep

Deputies from the Court Services Bureau-Field Unit hit the streets early Saturday morning in search of suspects with outstanding warrants.

The Sheriff’s Department’s Court Services Bureau-Field Unit fanned out across the South Bay region Saturday conducting a warrant sweep, looking for suspects with outstanding warrants.

Twenty-five adults were arrested during the operation, which started at 6 a.m. and lasted until 12:30 p.m., according to Sgt. James Blanton. Deputies cleared 29 felony and misdemeanor warrants.

The Sheriff’s Department plans additional warrant sweeps, and encourages people with outstanding warrants to turn themselves in at any of the sheriff’s court facilities Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
