What happened to this site?   Everyone has left and there is no local news.

Khari kept this site together, now it's random news with some spammers on it. There are some good tidbits still, just hunt for them.

khari was a hard working editor - it's too bad he was cut .... but the patch was always meant to be a source for local contributions .... if you want to see a topic or story covered in the patch then step to the plate and make it happen...

But for us IB residents who are away from the community it is now mostly useless.

You can post a letter to iblnews@hotmail.com and it will be published in the new bi-monthly I B Local News. We got a couple letters from Khari that we will publish hopefully in the next edition. Working on bringing up local news updated web version soon. I'm finding that a lot of local writers want to sell their stories rather than just contribute them for nothing. The Reader, Voice of San Diego and other pay for stories so many writers don't post their stuff for free anymore. Many contributors to I B Local News want to be paid for their stories as well. If you want content...,you'd better created it yourselves. Obviously the current editor does not have her fingers on the pulse of IB....and may not know where it really is? It's more like google news alerts.

I had to get off of the twitter feeds--too much national, not enough local :( So sad Khari was laid off...It was a great local news/event/business/human interest site then.
