POND 20 could be put to use to take advantage of a mobile population of seniors that travel in RV's. Don't you think that "SNOWBIRDS" would be flocking to a bayside view mobile home/RV park for the winter season....or the summer. Upscale RV parks have very handsome returns for the space almost as lucrative as hotels....with very minimal investment for power, water and sewage. Pond 20 could be filled and even terraced to provide exellent bayfront views to folks who want to escape the snow and sub zero temperatures back east. We sometimes forget how good we have it. RV owners usually have significant disposable income and the park in Chula Vista is way too small for the potential tourists that would come....if given the opportunity.
If better purposes are found for the property later, the minimal infrastructure could be removed or abandoned quite easily. Any income is better than no income....So how much is it generating in revenue or TOT now?
