Plumbing problem caused by block city sewer line

My sister at 760 Florence Street has blocked sewer line caused by a problem on a break, etc on city property.
My contractor, Tony Barrows was told by AJ that we have to prove 100% that the city is at fault. My sister's counselor, Loretta wanted me by posting this if anyone in this area is having similar problems. My sister is 67 and disabled and being left with this problem and no solution /next step from public works about what to do except AJ lack of interest in her problem Anxious and frustrated .   ANy ideas  her sister

You can "prove 100% that the city is at fault" by calling a drain service to video record the pipe. Try this guy, he's insured - Wayne Taylor's Golden West Drain Service (619) 588-1495 http://www.yelp.com/biz/wayne-taylor-la-mesa

Marcus, Thank you. We are going to do the video record the pipe because the other option is $7,000 to dig up city property to prove it is their fault. My contractor is going to get as much water at as possible before doing the shooting in the pipe. I appreciate your input

Good luck with that - my parents recently had to dig down 13 feet in the alley behind their house because a neighbor's tree roots broke the sewer pipe at the joint where it attaches to the main line. My father (72 retired long time resident of IB) was told he was required to pay the entire bill. He ended up having to take out a $10,000 loan to pay for the repairs. Good Luck! This city does NOT care about it's residents the way it should. Sad, but true.
