Did you know a very important process is going on that will change Sweetwater Union High School District Trustee Elections?
Instead of an at large election, there will be five designated areas within the district and one board seat assigned to that area. Candidates running for the Board of Trustees must reside within the area they are running to represent and only people living in that area will vote for their representative. It will not longer be an at large election.
The County Office of Education Board of Trustees will determine the areas and right now is the time to let that board know your thoughts about how they should identify those boundaries.

Attend the next public hear on March 6th at 6 p.m. at the SUHSD Admin Office 1130 5th Ave. No current SUHSD board members are present nor is Superintendent Brand.
This Thursday, the demographer will be sharing the first draft plan. A link to maps should be posted on the SDCOE Board Website prior to the meeting. Please represent Imperial Beach so we have a voice in this process!
