Sorry what's going on with sports park

Hello David, the city council claimed they did not have the money to support/maintain the Sports park. The Parents and kids voiced their opinions rather loudly at a council meeting. The council found the money that was there the whole time. The good news is that weaselly move motivated a lot of locals. We found out they don't mind spending 100+K for more selfish lights for their friends, but claim poverty when it came to our children. If you don't live at the beach this council will not even listen to you. So the silver lining is they woke up many residents to their priorities.

The city has accepted the proposal from the Boys and Girls Club. There is more discussion as to what exact services are going to be provided, etc. There is a citizens' committee- the Sports Park Task Force - that includes both the softball and baseball leagues, representatives for the community and skate boarders, etc. We, I am one of the representatives, are working with the City Manager Andy Hall.

Why do the people keep voting for these repugnant city leaders?
