As you have probably heard by now, the San Diego County Chapter of Americans for Safe Access, the nations largest medical marijuana patient’s rights advocacy group, has been working hard to gather signatures in IB to repeal the city’s ban and replace it with reasonable regulations for qualified patients.
Over the last few weeks, with the support and help of Canvass for a Cause and many volunteers, we have been able to mobilize an .
The first phase of the campaign is to gather enough signatures to place the initiative on the ballot in November. The second phase is the ‘get out the vote drive’ (GOTV) which will start as soon as the initiative qualifies.
Although we have over already, a large portion of them will be disqualified by the for one reason or another. This is why we need to double if not triple the amount of signatures we turn in to ensure enough valid are counted.
As a final push to get as many signatures as we can, tomorrow May 26th, we would like to invite you to join us for a volunteer day of action and 'Knock for Safe Access'!

If you have been sitting on the sidelines watching the fight and wanting to get involved but did not know how or when to do it, then let me tell you; tomorrow will be your best opportunity to make an impact that will benefit safe access right here in your neighborhood.
We will be meeting at the at 1233 Palm Ave on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2 p.m.
After a brief training you will join over 20 experienced activists, with voter names and addresses in hand, going door to door throughout the city gathering indisputable voter signatures. And afterwards, join us for Safe Access to free pizza at the Ideal Choice Insurance office.
