Woods, Doherty to Receive Plaques at Mt. Soledad Memorial Day Ceremony

Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty will have plaques installed in their honor at Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial Monday as part of Memorial Day ceremonies, according to the La Jolla Light newspaper.

The Navy SEALs were killed during a terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya that started Sept. 11, 2012.

Woods and Doherty, both veterans of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, were killed defending American lives at an annex location near the consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and State Department employee Sean Smith were.

Members of both Doherty and Woods' family are expected to attend the ceremony.
