This film continues the story of Eli Shane (Samuel Vincent), a young man who is the leader of The Shane Gang that include Trixie (Shannon Chan-Kent), Pronto (Lee Tockar) and Kord Zane (Andrew Francis). Living in their underground world, the caverns are safe and more slugs are discovered. These good friends come together to keep their world safe from Dr. Thaddius Blakk (Mark Oliver).
This nefarious Dr. wants to collect The Shane Gangs slugs. His intent is to make his army bigger and use the slugs against Shane and his friends. These defenders of Slugterra aren’t about to let it happen because it’s time to slug it out!

FINAL WORD: I truly enjoy watching this series because of the characters and their back-stories. Eli represents a young man trying to do what is right by his father and friends. That’s an important element for young viewers to grasp and it’s so well done here.
Having such loyal friends with Trixie, pronto and Zane provides stability for them all and teaches the amazing benefits to being a good person. Trusting one another under adversity is a quality that to be seen here can be repeated in kids. The series has so much to offer in that respect and I, for one, appreciate that.
The series is easy to follow but I suggest going back to the beginning if you have the opportunity because SHOUT! Factory Kids has some of the best shows for any family library. Check them out at www.shoutfactory.com and catch up on some old favorites and make some new ones as well.
The Slugs have special powers for almost everything, fire, water, air, earth, metal, ice etc. There are 47 Slug, which I won’t list for you here because I think its more fun to learn about them by watching the show. At the same time there are ‘bad’ slugs or Ghoul Slugs that are made by dark water. Yes, this water can change a good Slug. There are 17 but Dr. Blakk wants even more!
TUBS OF POPCORN: I give SLUGTERRA SLUG POWER! three tubs of popcorn out of five. As a continuation of the Slugterra saga, these Slugisodes are full of action, characters, creatures and comedy. Any fan of animation will love the 110 minutes of storyline and adventure.
The DVD includes five episodes with “Mecha Mutiny’, ‘Undertow’, ‘Mario Bravado’, and ‘The New Kid’ Parts 1 and 2. There is also a bonus feature with a look behind the scenes of SLUGTERRA and the Slugisodes.
Premiering on Disney XD in 2012, fans have been watching Eli become the greatest slug-slinging hero of all time – next to his father Will Shane that is.
