Are you ready? Seriously, are you really ready? Well, FX has released LEGIT: Season One on DVD from creator/executive producer/writer and star Jim Jeffries.
If you don’t know who Jim Jeffries is by now, and I have to wonder what planet you live on if you don’t, he is an Australian who has no filter and sees nothing wrong with telling the truth as he sees it.

Beginning in 2008 with the DVD CONTRABAND, he became known with his HBO special soon after. Hitting the festival circuit, Jeffries has also performed doing spots of “The World Stands Up”, “Comedy Blue” and “Edinburgh and Beyond” for Comedy Central.

This series tells the story of who else, Jim Jeffries – the kind of friend everyone has but no one really talks about and with good reason. Jim kind of does what ever he likes and says what ever he likes. His friend Steve Nugent (Dan Bakkedahl) hangs with Jim along with brother Billy (DJ Qualls) who is in a wheel chair.
From the moment these three get together comedy will follow whether you like it or not. Jeffries takes Billy on a road trip that is one for the books. That is only the beginning of a series that takes the viewer from giggles to belly laughs!
Other cast includes: Mindy Sterling as Janice Nugent, Sonya Eddy as Ramona, Nick Daley as Rodney, Richard Ruccolo as Mike Mert, and John Ratzenberger as Walter Nugent.
The DVD, which if you don’t have I’m going to say loudly now GET IT because the deleted scenes are anser-worthy, but also a Director’s Cut of the pilot, commentaries, a gag reel, Rodney Autotune and Jim Jefferies’ Journey.
There are 13 episodes including: Pilot, Dreams, Love, Anger, Justice, Family, Health, Horders, Bag Lady, Cuckoo’s Nest, Hat Hair, Misunderstood and Fatherhood.
FINAL WORD & TUBS OF POPCORN: I give LEGIT: Season One on DVD four tubs of popcorn out of five. Granted I was a huge Jefferies fan when he was doing stand up. Yes, I have a twisted sense of humor and this slow talking fast thinking comedian just has me rolling every time I see him.
FX has brought so many amazing programs to television along with hit shows like SONS OF ANARCHY, ANGER MANAGEMENT, and ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA. Jim Jeffries brings LEGIT to the same audience that enjoys something unique and hilarious. Get LEGIT: Season One on DVD and call everyone over and make an evening of it!
