This season Michael Western (Jeffrey Donovan) who was once a spy, with Delta Force and a CIA operative. Feared by many his eventual cut off or given a ‘burn notice’ from the intelligence community leads him home to Miami, Florida. What else is someone with his talents to do but start up a private investigation service.

Into season six Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) is in prison and Michael needs to weave his magic to get her free. Along with Same Axe (Bruce Campbell), a former Navy Seal they all take on assassins and cartels and making any deal they can, however scary, to get the job done.

The job can’t be done without causalities – some can leave them all reeling!

FINAL WORD: I’ve always loved watching Donovan act. He’s been good, bad, indifferent and excellent in between. As Donovan there are moments where I see the potential of ‘ohhh noooo he’s maaaaad!’ Personally I enjoy a show and an actor that can make me talk to myself.

When asked what he liked about his work on BURN NOTICE, Donovan says, “I like the different genres of action, comedy and drama. I love that in the middle of a knife fight I can make a joke. When we don’t take ourselves to seriously I think that’s what viewers like about the show. It’s a lot of hard work at the same time. There are three very different characters trying to get the job done with the same goal even if they oppose each other.”

Anwar as Fiona has really brought growth to this character and with season six there is no exception. Now in prison, she has one goal – to get out. Campbell is the rough guy with bristly edges but is also the best person to rely on in the situations these three find themselves in.

Gless as mom Madeline Westen is thrilled to be working with the cast but also says it’s the quality of work that makes it all come together. Bell as Coby sees the cast as a family. Miami is a great place for this series to be filmed with spot on story telling and writing. The cast is fantastic together playing off each other’s character and sometimes with surprising results. This keeps the show fresh and interesting.

Appearances by Patton Oswalt, Sonja Sohn, Kenny Johnson, and Taryn Manning.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give BURN NOTICE: Season Six three and a half tubs of popcorn out of five. There are so many fans of this series out there and I happen to know a few who absolutely love this show. USA Network has been one of the networks that has led the new television revolution with outstanding programming for fans.

Season Six is a continuation of what has made BURN NOTICE such an exceptional television show that has much to offer fans. Now with the DVD’s release fans can enjoy the show again and again.

The DVD contains the audio commentary on “Shock Wave” featuring Matt Nix, Renny Harlin, Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell. The disc also includes deleted scenes, a gag reel and “Matt Nix Gets Burned”.

BURN NOTICE can also be seen on the USA Network on Thursdays at 9/8 central. USA – characters welcome! Catch up on the season before the seventh season and own BURN NOTICE: Season Six.

In the end – there’s trouble in paradise!
