This film tells the story of Beca (Anna Kendrick), a young lady off to college whose dream it is to create music. After a lecture from her father about giving school a year and getting involved, Beca turns to the Barden Bellas, the acapella group that performs in competitions.

The leader Aubrey (Anna Camp) and Chloe (Brittany Snow) are looking for a new group that will beat the champion boys group The Trebels led by the obnoxious Bumper (Adam DeVine). On board this year is Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), Stacie (Alexis Knap), Cynthia Rose (Ester Dean), Lilly (Hanna Mae Lee), Jessica (Kelley Jakle), Ashley (Shelley Regner), Mary Elise (Caroline Fourmy), Kimmy Jin (Jinhee Joung) and Kori (Nicole Lovince).

Aubrey wants to do things the way they've always been done, which isn't really working for the Barden Bellas. Refusing to change with the times she and Beca constantly clash making things worse for the group. Beca also begins seeing a rival Jesse (Skylar Astin) adding more fuel to the fire.

As The Trebels continue to win and the gals continue to argue the nationals seem like a no win. Its time to get it together!

FINAL WORD: Kendrick’s had me laughing throughout the film. She has a wonderful voice and once she got into the group and became truly part of it, her performance was spot on. I couldn't help laugh a few times such as the group being called the "Bellas" and their "wolf" chant. Okay, so it’s too soon after Twilight - the role of Jessica. Kendrick’s is making a name for herself and covering all genres of film.

Camp and Snow are hilarious together as the leaders of the Barden Bellas. Camp playing the protective and stubborn carrier of the Barden flame and Snow who wants to change and win! The drama between the two is hilarious though.

On the boys side DeVine as Bumper is so into himself one can't help but constantly roll eye when he's on the screen. Translated - he did a good job! Astin as Jesse also has a pretty good voice and played well opposite Kendrick’s.The winner here is Rebel Wilson as Fat Amy. There isn't anything this girl won't do or say which makes her character one to be reckoned with. When she says she joined the group to "get away from her boyfriends" there is no reason to doubt her! I just love Wilson!

Other cast include: Ben Platt as Benji, Utkarsh Ambudkar as Donald, David del Rio as Kolio, Freddie Stroma as Luke, Jacob Wysocki as Justin, Elizabeth Banks as Gail and John Michael Higgins as John the announcers.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give PITCH PERFECT three tubs of popcorn out of five. It is a fun film and will definitely appeal to singing groups, school productions and college acapella groups but its also fun for those who didn't know these kinds of competitions existed. It’s definitely a fun film.

The DVD has bonus features such as deleted & extended scenes, Line-O-Rama, A Look Inside, Feature Commentaries, Starships: The PITCH PERFECT music video with Mike Tompkins. The blu-ray disc has extra line-o-ramas and more with pocket BLU apps for smart phones and tablets and a BD-live internet connection features.

In the end - get pitch slapped!
