Coming to DVD January 8th, 2013 from Shout! Factory Kids is the amazing animated series from creators Jeremy Padawer and Jared Wolfson and the power of MONSUNO.

This series tells the story of Chase (Sam Clarke), Jinja (Karen Strassman), and Bren (Christopher Smith), three teens who are about to go on an unexpected journey. Sixty five million years ago meteors fell to the planet. In these meteors was genetic material that contained life. This is MONSUNO and after the dinosaurs fells everything went dormant.

The genetic material went deeper and deeper into the planets crust. Now, Chase's father Jeredy Suno believe he has found a new energy source for the world then suddenly disappears.

Chase and his friends soon discover the creature left for him by his father who he calls Lock. They also are joined by Charger and Quickforce. They all become heroes and do whatever it takes to defend the planet.

Joined by Beyal (Kirk Thornton) and his creature Glowblade, they begin the search for Chase's father and come upon the S.T.O.R.M. (Strategic Tactical Operatives Recovery of Monsuno) who are not all they seem to be!

FINAL WORD: This is a truly interesting and intricate series that has an incredible storyline that is fun. The storyline is also well thought out and intricate without being confusing. Taking it from episode to episode the stories unfold the characters need to embrace the power in a thoughtful way and do what's right for the planet.

TUBS OF POPCORN: I give MONSUNO three tubs of popcorn out of five. This is a popular animated series on Nicktoons! This is definitely an action packed show billed as a boy adventure series although I know my granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. That's a good sign that this series crosses over to adults as well as the girls who love adventure as well. Also, the anime is very well done!

The DVD episodes include "Clash", "Courage", "Underground", Wicked" and "Knowledge" with bonus content of the character bios, behind-the-scene videos and much more! The MONSUNO series is co-produced by Pacific Animation Partners and features innovative action figures, accessories, playsets and collectibles.
