Coming to DVD in preparation for the Halloween season from Universal Pictures and SCREAM! Factory is one of the most iconic thriller-horror films ever with HALLOWEEN II and HALLOWEEN III.

HALLOWEEN II is the return of Laurie Strodes (Jaime Lee Curtis) after the attack of her brother Michael Meyers she is taken to the hospital. That doesn’t stop Michael as Laurie is his goal and nothing or no one will stop him. Not even the return of Dr. Loomis (Donald Pleasence) will slow him down.

HALLOWEEN III begins with a murder-suicide at a hospital in California that causes an investigation to begin. Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins) tries to discover who is responsible and what the connection is to the hospital. What they find is an insane toy maker who believed in the ancient Celtic rituals and plans for more destruction on October 31st.

FINAL WORD: Curtis will always be known as Michael Meyer’s sister – that’s not a bad thing to be remembered for. In the era of scream-queens, no one did it better than Curtis! The character of Dr. Loomis played by Pleasence is the most unlikely savior for Laurie Strodes yet he is there and memorable.

HALLOWEEN II is celebrating its 30th anniversary in a Collector’s Edition Bluray. It features an audio commentary with director Rick Rosenthal and actor Leo Rossi, “The Nightmare Isn’t Over!” – the making of HALLOWEEN II with the actors and producers who made this film so iconic.

Atkins is thrust into a franchise making a name for himself as well. This particular film does stray from the formula and I personally don’t think audiences gave it a chance. Now that it’s on DVD viewers can enjoy the story once again on its own merit.

HALLOWEEN III is also celebrating its 30th anniversary in a Collectors Edition Bluray. It includes a commentary from director Tommy Lee Wallace and Tom Atkins, the featurette “Stand Alone: The Making of Halloween III: Season of the Witch” and revisiting the original shooting locations.

SHOUT! Factory will continue with SCREAM FACTORY well into 2013 with a fantastic title lineup and or up-to-date information go to www.ScreamFactoryDVD.com.

TUBS OF POPCORN: Both HALLOWEEN II and III get three and a half tubs of popcorn out of five. How can you call yourself a horror fan without watching these every year! These films are gritty, scary, tough and thrilling down the spine and have always been. Fan flocked to the theatres in the 70s and 80s just to come out alive!

These DVD’s will be available in September in crisp and clear bluray! So get the family together for a little night of fright with these classic horror films!

In the end – he will never give up!
