Blick Art Materials to Open New Matting and Framing Department

On April 27 Blick Art Materials will be opening their new Design Center, custom matting and custom framing department in their Little Italy store located on the corner of Fir and India. The actual address is 1844 India St. General Manager, Greg Pita, said that this department will add to the total offering that Blick provides to their clientele.  

Managing the new department will be Marlyn Johnson who is highly trained in design, matting and framing. Marlyn will take a customer's piece of art or photography and with the matting and frame create a even great piece of art.

The design center will help the customer decide just what is wanted. Marlyn will then take it from there and in the 14-day turnaround present to the client an incredible finished piece of art ready for placing on the wall within someone's home. Whether it be watercolor, illustrations, paintings, pastels or photography, the custom matting and framing department will be able to handle all of these. To assure the best results Blick will use acid free materials when requested by the customer. This process maintains the quality of the art without doing the piece any harm. With her knowledge and experience, Marlyn will be happy to advise the customer what materials will be best in the matting and framing of a piece.
