Water Contact Closure Lifted for Tijuana Slough, Borderfield State Park in Time for Holiday

Testing confirms water quality in Imperial Beach meets State health standards.

The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) has lifted the water contact closure for Tijuana Slough and Borderfield State Park on Saturday. This includes the beach-line from the South end of Seacoast Drive to the International Border.

Recent water quality testing confirms that water quality meets State health standards at these beaches. This area was recently closed to water contact due to previous sample results exceeding health standards.
