The American Cancer Society 2012 Discovery Gala themed “Mission Under the Moon” is scheduled for July 11, 2012, at L’Auberge Del Mar Resort & Spa, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Cancer survivor Blake VanderGeest will be honored with the annual Celebration of Life Award to acknowledge his personal battle against cancer and his inspiration to others. Elizabeth Rice, CEO of Innovative Employee Solutions is chairing this year’s event, with Lindy Mamer, Senior Vice President of City National Bank, serving as Vice Chair.
Guests will enjoy a festive, moonstruck evening under the stars, along with fine food, silent and live auctions and live musical entertainment. Cocktail attire is suggested. Tables for ten are available starting at $3,000, individual tickets are $300 each and additional sponsorship recognition benefits begin at $1,000. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s research, education and patient service programs.
