Saying hello

To everyone we know

And  smiling at some that we don’t

Hiding from an old love affair

Pretending it never happened

Eyes Meet

Time to retreat

To the Olde Plank Inn

Walking down seacost

Remembering a time

How many decades ago?

Drinking a glass of yesterday’s wine

And eating well seasoned crow

The parade is now a thing of the past

No fireworks light up the sky

No more  walking down the street with

A beer in hand

Looking over our shoulders at

Yeserday’s  dreams but the castles

Are still made of sand
