Terrific Tuesday*Good day for a poem*

          Backslide              

It felt like a fun ride
Again to myself I lied
I didn't plan to backslide
Then I had no place to hide

God knows how hard I tried
But "Temptation Road" is wide
The road wears a fun disguise
A dead end paved with lies

The end of the road was dark
It wasn't where I wanted to park
I've been to the end before
My heart can't take it no more

That dark road I won't return
I hate the pain of backslide burn
One huge lesson I did learn
Next time I'll make the right turn
