*Happy Holidays*

Christmas Time

Christmas is my favorite time of year
Like a child I can't wait until it's here
Come December up with Christmas lights
In my windows colors twinkling bright

Fresh pine how beautiful it will be
Family fun the day we get our tree
Ornaments and tinsel, we almost forgot
Traditional star goes on our tree top

Christmas comes in winter, nights are cold
Fighting crowds shopping, presents to unload
Hide them, later to ribbon and wrap
Precious picture a child on Santa's lap

Kids anxious, cookies to be made
Friends and relatives, gifts we'll trade
Love getting cards, count them on the door
Check our mailbox, hope we get one more

Christmas morning, what a sight to see
Children saying, "Look what Santa brought me."
Dad and I watch warmly, hearts full of joy
Watching fancy, wrapped boxes get destroyed

All is done with love, 'tis the season
Never get too busy forgetting the reason
Jesus's birthday, celebrate with good cheer
He lived long ago, He died without fear
Happy holidays, but take a moment or two
Say a prayer for Him, you know He would for you
