Summer Garden Produce

There is a saying that go something like this.  The greater the risk the greater the reward.   This year we decided to take a the risk of growing some exotic types of vegtables.  We tried a variety of old heirlooms and we were rewarded with new flavors, textures and colors.  In particular we grew some old varietys of squash.  Some of these squash were grown by Native Americans and early immigrants.  Bright orange and yellow interiors and when cooked on the grille they were great.

With Fall starting this Sunday we are making a new list of things to grow in the fall and winter.  Please let us know if you have any ideas.  We will try to find the seed and get them started.
